I bought 5 - 30 rd. PMAG's from a person off another forum that were new. This was a couple of month's ago and this weekend I was
loading them getting them ready for a trip we are taking to some friends ranch so we can do some shooting while we are there and none
of them will hold more than 10 rds. which tells me they came from a State that does not allow more than 10 rds in a 30 rd mag. Now
my question is can I do anything to make these accept 30 rds or are they useless for anything over 10 rds? I live in Texas so having
30 rd mags is not an issue. Can anyone give me suggestions on what I can do to make these 30 rounders? Thanks for any help.

I wasn't aware that Magpul made any 10rnd mags with a 30rnd body. Have you tried taking them apart to check for a spacer the previous owner might have put in?

ETA: doing some more digging you might have something from www.calegalmags.com or something similar to that.

I'd try that.  Must be Tier 1 to use 30 round bodies in states where 10 rounders are the legal max.

My use of tier 1 is sarcastic, but I would take the mag apart and see if there is a giant spacer in there.

Thanks for the quick replies. I may run home at lunch and see if I can get one apart and see what is inside. I am hoping
it is just a spacer that can be removed. I will report back whatI find.

Good news, the mags did have a spacer block in them and I was able to get them out and back together without
damaging the mags. There was a small wire pin in the bottom plate I had to push in to get the bottom plate off then it
was a matter of removing the spacer and putting them back together. I loaded all of them and they all now hold 30 rounds.
Thanks for the replies.
