I just got a USGI TAPCO mag. I know what people say about tapco, but this mag looks to be made exactly like my other USGI mags and comes with a green follower.

So far at the range I have put maybe 50 rounds through it and is working as designed. Anyone have any issues with these or experience using them? They were selling for $7.99 and I would like to know more about them before spending money to buy more.

When did the US government ever issue a TAPCO mag?

You bought the aluminum magazines, right?

Private labeled, just like the Shrubmaster magazines.

Does the follower have the extended tab on the bottom of it?  If not, it is a green colored version of the black follower.

I guess I should say they are built to USGI standards? They have the dry gray "lubricating" film on them like the C products mags.

Crap!! These are just green colored, they aren't like my other C-products mags.

I assume this can be replaced with an orange magpul follower?

Which one does your follower look like?

Probably.

Not sure why they even make them with the green follower anymore...  *shrug*

But I love my PMags, so who cares what I think?

Actually I took the thing apart and they are the GI green ones. I haven't had my AR that long so I'm still learning.
