I am new to this Forum, so please excuse me if a question is inappropriate here.
Does anybody know why CAA coundown magazine isn't available for sale at any dealers - no stock? Even CAA removed the product from their web page. My friend saw it in Cabelas '09 shooting magazine and recently wanted to buy it for her hubby as a bday gift. When called Cabelas customer service, they told her that the item was discontinued since July of '09. Indeed, Cabelas website claims that "This product is no longer available". She asked me to help. I tried to locate one on the net, but to no avail. Calling at least 10 dealers who advertised the product didn't yield any result. Nobody has them in stock and some claim that they will not carry it any more. When asked why, one of them told me how "he heard" that there is a problem with the magazine, related to reliability. According to him, it does not display numbers always correctly, in relation to the actual available bullet count. If this is the case, or there are other issues, I would advise my friend to rethink her gift idea. I would like to be able to tell her the real reason behind her inability to find, or buy one, or perhaps why she shouldn't even consider buying one. Would you please, help me? I would really appreciate it. Did anybody actually buy and use the product? Do you have any experience with its reliability or performance? What is your opinion? Thank you in advance. Peter P.S. I noticed that EMA Tactical just advertised release of their "new CountDown magazine". Couldn't call them over weekend, but their product looks exactly the same as the earlier advertised CAA magazine. Isn’t EMA Tactical the same company as CAA? I am confused. Does anybody know what is going on? |
