Are preban orlite AR mags any good compared to the aluminum mags?

I have a few, and they work fine.     One cracked a feed lip somehow, I know I never dropped it.     I would stick to aluminium mags if you can find them.

I had one or two, didn't care for them.

For serious use, no. They feed very well on my guns, but the feed lips are fragile. I find them good for range mags, but I only paid a couple of bucks each for them. I wouldn't spend much more than that.

I bought a bunch when the prices for these were next to nothing. Only issue I had was needing to file down the dirt/dust seal on the magazine body to fit in my S&W. Other than that, they work like a champ. If you do get some, check the feed lips very closely for cracks.
