Just curious if anyone else is having this problem.
Windowed PMAG does not drop from the mag well when the BCG is locked back. GI Mags drop fine. Non-windowed PMAG's drop fine. Mag well cut in the PMAG looks clean and just as deep as the rest. ETA: PMAG does release from the mag latch, but needs a external force to actually get it out of the mag well ( Pulling the mag, flicking the wrist of the strong hand to move the gun, ETC. ) |

Any given dimension will have a plus or minus tolerance when manufactured. I would try some other windowed PMAGS from a different batch in your lower and see if the problem remains. |

No Pmag drops free from my DPMS lower when empty. If the mags are full they drop. I just live with it. I have 2 other AR's that drop fine from.[/quot If you are going to sand the mag, then your going to have to find out where it is hanging up on the mag. The easiest way to find out where two parts are rubbing together is to coat one part with a visible material that can be worn away easily when the two parts interact. You might try rubbing the PMAG with chalk in the areas where you suspect the interference is and insert the mag several times. Keep a watchfull eye of where the chalk is rubbed away, as this is where the friction is occuring. |
