Does anyone have problems with C-Products mags?  Using Blackhills ammo, my AR frequently failed to strip a round from the mag.  I also had times where the bolt failed to close all the way, with a round jammed and the bolt face mashed into the side of the case.  I am in California, so can not have mags over 10 rounds (no P-Mags unless modified).  Anything else other than mags causing these problems.  No M4 feed ramps in the receiver.

A second C-Products mags would not even fit in the receiver.  One side was welded at a slight angle, making the mag too wide to fit.  It fit in another AR15, but not my SunDevil lower.

i've not had major problems w/ my CP mags...but then, mine are all 30rnders; are yours all 10rnders? spring tension ok? follower? is the mag/ammo combo causing the drag or your buffer spring?

M4 feedramps are negligible; as to the 2nd CP mag not fitting, that one sounds like a poorly made one...call CP and let em know––they have pretty good CS

If the the mag looks damaged or defective, which by your description it is, I'd send it to C-Products for replacement. I have never had any problems with any of the major manufacturers when shooting .223.

I dont buy C products mags anymore after a few duds. I just pay a little more than deal with the headache.

I had that strip problem.

The round would stick when the case went over the side of the mag. I filed the inside lip of the mag a little and it cleared up.

FWIW,

My experience with CProducts magazines has been positive.  I have 10 9mm mags, and literally dozens and dozens of .223 mags.  I also have a couple of their 7.62x39 mags.

I have run thousands of rounds, and am very happy.  I am most partial to their 20 round mags.

You should buy some PMAGs from riflegear.com, they are in CA and they have some 30 rounders modified to hold only 10 rounds and I haven't had a problem with any of them so far.

If you search you will find a plethora of problems from bad mags to Larry ignoring emails and phone calls dodging people wanting refunds.

You left out "personal attacks" against forum members that don't agree with him or have problems with his products but what the heck it makes the forum more interesting and makes it easier to decide who not to buy from

Thanks to Magpul, these problems are no longer of concern......I mothballed my last CP and other tin mags months ago.
