| Well im gonna try and score some used Colt 30rds tonight a local auction. I know this has been asked before but where on them would I look to see if they are preban or not. I would pay a few dollars extra to get the preban ones just to sell to the antifun states. The guy said they have half a dozen or so mags. All colt 30rds. What would be a fair price to pay each? Usually the gun stuff there goes pretty cheap because not many people care about them. They had a couple AK Krink parts kits there a couple months back which sold for $200 each. |

All Colt mags were/are made by Okay Industries. Okay did not start marking mags untill the early 1990's, untill then, they were completely blank except the floorplate. They would be marked 33710 over the date MM/YY. There is no way to tell a date marked original Colt mag from an Okay mag that had the floorplate replaced. On the completely blank ones, it could be any mag with either a real or counterfeit Colt floorplate. Many of the crap brands are marked "COLT AR-15" on the floorplate and many people confuse them with factory Colt mags. (they are completely and literally worthless) $6 or $8 each would be a fair price at an auction. If they're marked with the Okay cage code 33710, and in excellent condition, I'd go higher. Keep in mind, some people are getting picky about their pre-ban mags and only want ones made in the few years prior to 1994 when they were marked. |
