Does anyone have experience with storing a PMAG  in a rifle? I need to keep one loaded with 30 rounds ready to go locked in the magazine well of the rifle. I cant see any downside to this arrangement but I thought I would defer to this knowledgeable forum for advice...

I don't see anything wrong with that...  Some people keep 28-29rnd in the mag.  



I keep my loaded with 29rnds on Condition 3.

I keep a full thirty mag inserted, but unchambered in my AR; my PMAG has had no issues with this.
