I bought a few Brownells 20 round magazines last year (both stainless steel and chrome-silicone spring models). Finally took them out to shoot last week and out of 10 are having problems with TWO of them.
Loading 18 rounds in each magazine, after shooting about 3-4 rounds the magazine will not feed. My bolt goes back but it does not pick up the next round. I have to physically run the charging handle to pick up the next round. Don't think it is short stroking because the bolt locks back fine on the last round. Is this a timing issue? I have an H-buffer on a 12.5" barrel (LMT MRP chopped barrel). I'm thinking I might try some new springs but these are supposed to be brand new magazines (never loaded). Appreciate any help. |
| I would just call brownells, tell the the problem and almost certainly they will have you ship them back on their dime for two replacements or at least refund the money (as they are out of stock on all mags right now...but they may have a 'stash' for a stiaution just like this) |

Did you take a "ruler" and run the follower up and down a few times to "break them in"? tia |
