Well I just made it home with my first AR and after having dissasemblling and cleaning it, I took a look at the base of the mag that was supplied with it.

"Imperial Defense Services"

England

Basically is what is stamped on the bottom of my magazine, can anyone tell me anything about these?
It appears to be a blued finish.
Are they good? Are they junk?

They're good mags but some people will recommend replacing the spring and follower.  A few of them had problems with the mag catch hole needing to be tweaked to fit.

I have more than a dozen of these.  Good mags - almost.

They are made of blued steel, not aluminum.

Mine were purchased from CMMG during the ban.  CMMG supplied new springs and green USGI followers.

The original followers are a blue-black color and junk.  The original springs are weak.  Toss and replace with green USGI or Magpull followers and new springs and they will perform well.
