I have several new C Products mags with the gray Magpul follower. While at the range the other day, I had a misfeed with a nearly full mag. It seemed that the follower was binding, causing a loss of spring tension and rounds going all over the place. I unloaded the mag, reloaded and experienced the problem again. After the follower is pushed down, spring tension is regained.

What's the most likely culprit, spring, follower or body?

Could be the body.  Another poster had a similar problem with the follower binding on some stainless mags:  www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=216&t=159194

I had a CPro 20rd mag I bought at a gun show...I was getting 1-2 malfunctions with it every trip to the range...today it double feeded into the chamber before the previous round could be ejected, and severely damaged one of the rounds...I ended up giving the mag away...

What would happen was when the bolt came backwards, the top round ALWAYS popped up in front, and would be pushed forward by the bolt...however, this was blocking the previous round from ejecting when the top bullet was on the right side of the magazine...

I have had about 20% of a bunch of C Product mags I bought do the same thing. I know several guys who have has issues with them as well.

When less trouble prone mags are only a dollar more, why buy C Products?

D@H Teflon with Mag Pul Followers, have been flawless for me.

PMags cost $2 more than new aluminum mags, so I go with that

I have 3 Black PMags, 1 Lancer L5 mag, and used to have that 20rder...

I would suspect it is the body. There might be weld spit inside which is causing the problem. Or they are out of spec, which could happen. Please send them back so we can resolve the issue and we will send you new ones at no charge.
