Went to the gun show this weekend, and could not resist, had to bring home one of the clear backed C-mags , my question is there any tricks to help maintain and keep it functioning other than the basic graphite lube and cleaning. Thanks for the help!

Don't drop it because it will crack or shatter. I know, I did it.

go to the BetaCo web site and order up a spare parts rebuild kit. I bought a spare feed tower for $14 or so. I powder it up each time I load it and it works great.
I want to buy the rebuild kit but that is like $50 or so. I'll be saving up for one.

I dropped mine 4 feet onto linoleum. I had to take it apart and realign the linked rounds to make it work. Works great.

Does a Beta mag lock the bolt to the rear after the last shot? Just wondering because my second hand mag doesn't. Wonder if I am missing a part?

I think your link rounds are backwards, one of them is rounded on the back side, this allows the bolt to lock back. I am not near my manual, but if you look online there web site it has the proper installation order. But yes it should lock back.

the beta mag does not lock back. here is my c-mag.
I don't think it was ever designed to lock the bolt back.

Beta's DO NOT lock the bolt back. It says it some where on their website. Also if you call and ask for the tech dept they also will confim that is does not lock back. That is how it was made.

My apologies, I miss read the statement in the manual, it is rounded to allow the bolt to close after the last round is fired, my brain read it was rounded to allow it to lock. Once again sorry for the bad information.
