I really don't know where to ask this but this is where I hang out so I figure what the heck...what is a fair price for a 20rd Colt AR15 mag?  Is the follower metal?  I picked one up today and it just seems SO much sturdier than any of my other mags and the 20rd should bench A LOT easier than the 30.  I would have preferred a 10rd since that is the general string I shoot but that is all they had.  Anyway, the questions are...fair price?  Are they significantly sturdier than the green follower mags?  Are these current production or "legacy" mags?  The local gun shop also had some Brownell's 20rd mags...how do those compare?  any input would be gratefully accepted.

They are arguably the best mag ever made--early 1970s and originally made for the USAF.  Prices vary from about $15 up to $35, depending upon condition.  The follower is alloy.

I can move this thread to the mag forum if you want more information.  Also, there is a history of all mags ever made somewhere.  Hopefully someone will post a link to it, as I don't recall where it's at.  Lemme know if you want this moved.
