| I have a 20-round Colt mag with the aluminum follower that will not feed the last round. It has always worked great until the last few times I've used it. Now, when the second to last round is fired the last round will pop up out of the mag and the mag locks the bolt back. I took it apart, and couldn't find any obvious problems or wear. Any ideas.....weak spring? feed lips? |
Looks like the feed lip on the left side (side where the last round sets) was a little tweaked. I could put the 1 round in, hold it upside down in my hand, then smack my hand on the bench and the round would come out pretty easy. Also, the round would come out easily by pulling straight up on it. I pushed that feed lip back in, now I can't get it to come out by jarring it, and it much more difficult to pull it straight out. Now I need to get back to the range for a live-fire test.  Thanks!
