Out of the tier 1 magazines, how do the Sanchez Ent. Mansfield, Oh. rate? Compared to the other USGI magazines.
Who trusts them and who doesn't?

Sanchez and Coopers are BANNED from my inventory.

They were known to be doo doo mags back in the gun show glory days.

(coopers = poopers was an expression often said. Sanchez were equally shitty in the reputation department)

The Sanchez mags when used with black followers seemed to have a higher rate of feeding issues than other USGI mags. I am pretty sure the green follower solution to the follower "tilting" issue was first used in the Sanchez mags.

That said, if the mags you are looking at (or I assume you are looking at) are in good shape otherwise, I would not eliminate them from consideration. It's easy and inexpensive to swap out black plastic followers (if they have them) for green ones or Magpuls.

I have about ten Sanchez mags two were NIW pre-ban B/Fs, the other eight were used USGI mags with green followers. I have never had a problem with any of them period. I have since up graded them with C.S. springs and MP genII followers. I would definitely not pass up on the Sanchez mag.s.

Back in the late 80s and early 90s, if you were caught on the Marine KD course with a Cooper or Sanchez magazine in your weapon and you had a malfunction, you weren't getting an alabi.  Everybody knew they were unreliable and you ought to know better than to use them so the range officials didn't show any mercy on you if you had problems with them.  Today I avoid them like the plauge.

The SMALL number of Sanchez magazines that had a problem have cast a stigma on them forever BUT in reality MOST you will find work as well as any other black follower magazine. I'll say it again as I have before: we used to trade our cases of new 30's for old 20's because they were far more reliable but then again that was pre-anti tilt.

I put green followers in all of my older Sanchez and they work as well as any other.  In fact one of my range mags is a Sanchez.

wasn't Sanchez the reason green followers were introduced?

Thanks for your info. I have received four free Sanchez with green followers. I put generation II magpul followers in them and the follower gets stuck if I put more then 20 rounds in the 30 round mag. I'll go back to the green follower and try it at the range ASAP.
