I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes anyway.  i remember seeing a few months back a pouch with a strap designed to hold something like 3 or 6 mags. It had a strap you wore across your neck and another optional strap to go around your waist.  Does anybody know what I am talking about and where to get one?

Sounds like the Blackhawk SOS Chest Pouch.

It was designed for 'active shooter' scenarios where an officer can just grab it and get into the fight.

This is exactly what I want for my HD scenarion. Easy to put on ih a hurry and holds enough ammo. Does it work as advertised?

sounds like the Eagle Ind "patrolbandoleer" too.  holds 4 30rnd mags and two doublestack pistol mags.

has a strap to throw aover your shoulder and a belt loop with snap to anchor it to your belt.

That is no the one I was thinking about but it is the same concept.  The one I was thinking about is one big pouch with a zipper top and dividers inside to keep the mags seperate.  I will have to look for that at one of the gunshops around here that sell Blackhawk gear.

Thanks AR15fan.  This is the one I was thinking about.

I have one.  Its not the kind of thing you would use for a class or military service.  But its a great grab & go spare ammo carrier to hang in the closet next to your HD carbine.

It will be kept in the trunk of my patrol car for emergencies.  I like the idea of having it holod both the rifle mags and pistol mags.  We tarin for active shooter and are told to always  try to grab at least one extra rifle mag.  I have seen people try to put them in their pockets or stuff them in their duty belts only to have them fall out while running.
