Got any friends at the local base?

Holy shit,

I WILL NEVER THROUGH AWAY HUNDREDS OF THESE STRIPPER CLIPS AGAIN.
I WILL NEVER THROUGH AWAY HUNDREDS OF THESE STRIPPER CLIPS AGAIN.
I WILL NEVER THROUGH AWAY HUNDREDS OF THESE STRIPPER CLIPS AGAIN.

I'm mailing them home along with the empty boxes.  We run through quite alot of M855 for training purposes in Iraq.  Next time out to the range, I'll be taking out the trash.

I have seen that offering at Old Sarges as well and I agree the shipping seems high. However, when you run the numbers thats 600 strippers for $45.00 = .07/stripper. The cheapest I have seen at the gunshows here are .10-.15/stripper. Even at the Ft. Hood surplus stores where you would expect them to be plentiful, they run about 5 for 1.00.
If you NEED 300, then 600 gives you plenty of extras to replace ones that lose their end tabs.
(I really need to make some friends next time I go to Ft. Hood.)

+1 it is a disease.  I think I have one unfilled stripper clip.  When I buy more clips, I have to buy/reload more ammo.  Then I have to buy more clips ....

Wu's got out of the business because of other obligations in his life. The gal running bandolierstore.com has taken over the business Wu was running. She has all new stuff.

Shit! Why do people only offer UPS as an option? I just checked the bandolierstore.com to order some spoons. $4 for 10 with $8.53 for freakin' shipping! So I called CTD since their website only offered FedEx for $9. They told me $7 to ship a 3 ounce order via 1st class mail. wtf??

Shipping costs baffled me for years. I had to order a part for an old 8mm projector some time back, and the part, which I could not obtain anywhere else, was only ~15.00, but the shipping (for a few ounces) was 11.00. I ranted at the guy, his response was that he had to pay people in his shipping dept to prep the package, plus the cost of the packaging itself, and of course the actual shipping cost. I had no option in this case, so I sat down and worked some numbers, and FWIW, I at least understand why shipping costs are what they are. I'm not happy with it, but I understand it. Not to say that there aren't some who gouge customers with jacked up shipping, but IMO most companies are reasonable.

Good thing I don't have to pay a "checkout fee" at the grocery store to cover the wages of the girl that runs everything over the barcode reader.

I've purchased from Old Sarge - would do it again.

Damn, I feel lucky.  My local Army-Navy has a huge ammo box of strippers.  5.00 for a handfull.  I might just have to go down there and grab a 20.00 worth.
