I know this has had to been beaten to death by now, but searches and reading all 5 pages of posts on this board have nothing on them.  Lemme know the good, bad, and ugly. For $34 you can get 4 30rnd'ers, so for the guy building the budget AR it seems like a deal. Thanks

The Good:

lightweight

The Bad:

Prematurely wears on the inside back of the feed lip area, causing craking and seperation of the feed lip top allowing rounds to pop out.

The ugly:

A used USGI mags can be had for the same price and be ten times better.

I have been a sucker for punishment over the years and have bought close to 20 orlites in all forms. New, used and "refurbished" have let me down. The Israeli's surplused these for good reason, they were junk.

Many have cracked feelips (the reason they are junked, I mean, surplused), which are held together by the wire mesh imbedded in the plastic.  The cracks are difficult to see unless you flex the lips with your fingers.

They also come preloaded with sand from the Holy Lands upon which Jesus walked.  However this does not make them work any better.  You must disassemble (a realy problem) and scrub them out, and then the follower MAY move smoothly.

At 4 / $35 that makes them about $8 each.  You an buy NEW USGI mags for $11 or $12.  Even if you pay $16 for a USGI mag, one good USGI mag is much better than two Orlites any day of the week.
