Got mine today, absolutely beautiful brand new D&H mags, Law Enforcement Restricted / Government Use Only on the floor plate. So glad I got an order in, if I had the funds I'd order several more!

Got mine today.
As advertised: clean new mags with the teflon coating. Expect they will function well. LEO plates. Don't mean nothin', can replace with various and sundry, or Rangers from Magpul, or leave as is. This may be the bottom, most mags now with post ban non LEO plates at a higher price. 10 more would be good! Regards, Rick "Ready for Zombie Incursion"

Got my package from tapco... unfortunately they sent me the wrong mags. Instead of the 30 rnd AR-15 mags, I got 20 rnd. H&K mags. I suppose I could force them to fit with a vice and a bottle jack, but I think I might void a warranty on my gun or damage the mags. Anyways, I'll be sending them back on Monday for the correct ones. All well, things happen.

got my mags today and put them to good use. They fed and loaded fine, and generally are what you'd expect from a magazine, nice looking and nice function.

it says that they can not be shipped to NJ, CA, MA, HI or MD...so i am guessing they are legal in NY ??? i am hoping so, because i just bought a few of them...

Called them last night , I talked to a girl , told that I'm calling to get some magazines ,she took some info and told me the BOOK is coming in 6 to 10 days !!!
  I told her I'm NOT talking about a BOOK, I'm talking about magazines "to put bullets in " she said OH !!! So , I ordered 5 mags ..... Oh and she's sending me a BOOK also ....

so i asked TAPCO if it is legal for me to have these mags in new york state, and they said it was perfectly legal.
i was told on here that they are ILLEGAL in new york state. so whats the truth? am i gonna get into trouble here? |

You should know your state laws. NY has a AWB that mirrored the Federal AWB with one exception, no expiration date. So, since these mags are made a long time after Sept of 1994 they are illegal for you to own in the state of NY. This is the same reason why you cant have the evil features (lug, Flash hider) on your AR's. |

Well I understand the preban / postban thing, and I understand that magazines in NY have to be made before sept 1994...BUT NOWHERE on the TAPCO site does it say that these magazines are "new production" or "postban" or "made after 1994." it DOES say that they can not ship to CA, NJ, HI etc. but nothing about NY...the site only has that italic section that explains the federal assault weapon ban has sunset but that all local laws are still in effect, which does not refer to the magazines being preban or postban at all. AND I talked to TAPCO and they said it was legal...so... if they send me POSTBAN magazines that are supposed to be PREBAN and legal in NY, it would not be my fault. I ordered these according to their website. it would be like someone ordering a BB gun online, and the store accidentally sending you a full auto MAC-10...so... because i was unaware of the magazines being post ban, i would not be "knowingly in possession of them", and if they reach my house, and I send it back immdeiately without opening the package, i can not get into trouble. am i correct on this matter? i believe so. |

But they are stamped 8/05 dude, so you'll have to send em back and order magazines that specifically are pre-ban |

oh i totally agree...i will be sending them back...i am just kinda mad at Tapco for lying to me and sending them anyway. someone said earlier that "if they reach my house i will have broken state law"...i dont think that is right because i bought them BEFORE i knew they were the wrong product. i dont see it as my fault, so can i get in trouble even if i send them back? like i said, it would be like someone buying a pound of sugar and it turning out to be cocaine. who knew? |

"My Operations Manager did some research & we did confirm that these mags are illegal in New York. We are in the process of updating our website to reflect this. I received your last e-mail after the order shipped yesterday afternoon. It is in transit to you right now via USPO Priority Mail Service. Please refuse the package & when received we will issue a full refund to your credit card. In addition, I am putting a $20 store credit on your account for your trouble.
