A Colt 7.62X39 carbine is in my future. I plan to change the 7.62 bolt with the bolt in a Colt full auto .223 take out so I can shoot 7.62 in full auto with my Colt M16 registered receiver. I am looking for suggestions for mags for this set up. Mags to buy and mags to avoid. Stick mags , drum mags, conversions. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorces for the suggested mags would also be of benifit. Thank you for your time. Scott |

Avoid 7.62x39 I've heard folks that have had luck with the franken mags but from a LOT of research on my part it's plume luck and I must be living worse than the folks that have me working (I believe there is a fundamental reason the durn things won't work and feel very strongly that no mag will work over 20 rounds for the 7.62X39 with a traditional ar15 lower) Barry |
