How often does everyone disassemble their mags to clean them?

Honestly I have so many I rotate and never clean them with the excepyion of a light coat of clp on the out side, but I probably should.

your supposed to clean them!?
Actually I clean them once in a blue moon, Maybe once a year, My AR mags I think have never been detail cleaned by me,
My pistol mags are usually given a good cleaning when they are purchased new but then after that seldome do I clean them unless they are acting up.
Probably not a good practice but I have yet to have any failures do to dirty mags.

Honestly, I have never cleaned the 6 mags I use for Range work in over 5 years. Of course all of my Black Teflon, 30 Round mags with Magpul Followers and Ranger Plates loaded and stored for SHTF are impeccably clean.

Tack

I don't ever clean mags unless I drop them in the dirt or something unusual happens to them.

I figure I'm more likely to bend something taking them apart than I am to have a failure from pocket lint.

Never.  I wipe down my blued Mini-14 mags every once in a while to prevent rust, but I do absolutely nothing to my AR mags.

We have some range mags at work that get heavy daily abuse.  They've been around for several years and have probably seen thousands of rounds through them.  Some of them were starting to have malfuntions, so I got a chance and cleaned them last year.  It seemed to help but I think they would better benifit from replacing some of the springs and might as well put some green followers in them.  Unless you really punish your mags or drop them in sand, I wouldn't bother.

When I buy a used mag I make sure I add a green follower (if needed) and scrub all the carbon, sand, mre's, beer, and dirt dobbers nests out of them.  99% of the time they function fine, but if not Wolfe makes the best replacement spring IMHO.
