I have a few of the Brit magazines that i just got around to getting out of the box from a year or so back when I got them. One will not lock into the rifle. It looks as if the square hole that the mag. lock fits into might be the problem. What is the best way to fix this? Simply file a bit off the top of the hole or is there another fix? |

Some of the steel mags are known to be tight. Fixes include changing out the follower and filing the mag catch hole just a tad. I bought ten T-65 steel mags and 1 was incredily hard to seat EMPTY. It also required SIGNIFICANT force on the mag release button to release it. I filed the hole just a tad and it works now. I also got rid of the black followers and used Magpuls. |

If it's hard to seat into the receiver with 30rd loaded or hard to seat and hard to eject when empty, then yes. Just the top of the mag catch hole on the magazine. Start small and experiment until it fits properly. Out of 13 or so steel mags I have, only 1 required filing. |

i have some brit mags that work great...however mine benefitted from having the crappy black followers updated with some greens. I think however, my brits are gonna be relegated to dedicated m261 22-conversion mags...since i trust my USGI mags more for normal use. |
