Hi there. I've seen some pics of  30 rounds magazines with holes in the side, so you kan determinate how many rounds are left in the magazine. Can somebody help me out on a suplyer of these magazinesThanks ahead.

BTT, for folks who might know a source.......

FWIW, mags such as those requested above MIGHT not do too favorably in the types of enviroment our troops currently find themselves.

Lots-o-Sand + Holes in Mags = sand in mag = non-function.

No AR mags have ever come from the factory with such holes.  Many unscrupulous dealers were drilling the post-ban dates out of Center Industries mags and calling it a "witness hole", even though it was in the wrong place for a witness hole.

I have seen a few hillbilly hatchet jobs with a "what do you think" type thread title and pics. IIRC one guy took it far enough to stamp/etch round numbers there.  I understand you have no problem compromising the integrity of a range mag, but what is the allure of knowing exactly how many rounds remain at the range (with out bothering to keep track yourself)?

Let me also add that which you have probably discovered on your own... the deep magazine well obscures a good portion of the magazine so this makes the mag  holes/clear mags a foolish venture IMO.
