| I just ordered a Beta C mag direct from the Beta Company. It cost close to 250.00 I am overseas and had it delivered to an address stateside. I never recieved any email from them indicating if they recieved my order or not. I tried to call them only to get an answering machine with no indication of who it was, just the number that I DIDNT dial and asking for a message. Then I tried to email them three times during a one week period asking for a confirmation of my order. Nothing. The web site advertises 6-8 weeks for delivery time but it turns out it was delivered in one week flat. I cant wait to check it out when I get back stateside.Great delivery time. I guess that they are too busy turning out bad ass products to bother answering the phone! |
ordered mine several weeks ago now and no confirmation/invoice email or anything here either. tried their online contact form, which is not working. we'll see if they reply to my email... |
| Thanks CB1 and everyone, I was undecided about purchasing a Beta C because I did not want to spend no more than 250 for one. Well this was handy for me becuase 10 minutes after reading this topic the order was in for 1 Beta C mag (Factory Direct). $240.00 for the M16/M4 system. |

Quoted: Beta-C has proven to be junk in "overseas" military operations. Hopefully you're buying this for the novelty not for "bet your life" situations. Chuck, your the first I'm hearing this from. What is happening overseas with them, I live in the USA would that make a difference(just joking). But anyways what the deal with them? |

The Army tested the BetaC (again) last summer and there was a nice article in Army Times among other semi-professional No one was impressed, not even the cooks and clerks who most folks assume would favor the "WoW!" factor of 100 rounds on board. There's a reason the SAW is belt fed: there are no reliable super large capacity magazines. Of course the Army tested this under field conditions where it failed. May be perfectly suitable for plinking and gendarmarie operations where what little shooting is done is done with little potential danger for the shooter. -- Chuck |
