I just recently acquired a few 20 round mags and am wondering if it is possible to do some upgrading to them.

So my question is, are there any new followers for a 20 round mag?  Can I put a green follower or a MagPul Enhanced follower in a 20 round magazine?

Thanks!

Only upgrade a 20 needs is a new spring if the old one is worn out...

I think 20rd mags work best. Specially the older Colot ones with metal followers.
I'd just change the spring to a Wolff spring.
I tried 20rd green followers (bought from CDNN INvestments) - they didn't work better, but they did work better in 9rd mags that I also use for 5rd target shoots.

Is there any trick to getting these 20 round base plates off?  I got the ones on my 30s off easily enough but these are hard.  I think it might be because there is not a hole near the lip of the base plate like there is on the 30s.

Any suggestions?

There is a rectangular slot in the floorplate with a catch that needs to be depressed with a small flat tip screwdriver.

Yeah I finally figured it out.  I had new-arguy and Lumpy explain it to me.
