[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tight Mags

I recently bought a few good quality USGI 30rd mags of various manufacturers and am having problems with them dropping free from both a pre-ban PWA lower and a Colt SP1 lower. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make the mags drop free? I thought about GENTLY pressing them in a vice, but thought I would check here first. TIA

That's what I do. Take a pair of calipers and measure around to see where it is thickest. Then squeeze a little. Then measure, squeeze, etc. etc.

Tight mags are a pet peeve of mine. Sell them to someone with an OLYMPIC ARMS AR.
