I need some 20 round range magazines and I see these Pro Mag steel magazines. Any body has the scoop on these?

Pro Mag magazines are junk, get yourself some "USA" brand magazines. I mean, come on, they say USA right on the package, they got to be good.
Just kidding, please read the mag/faq Troy put together at the top of the this forum. A lot of mag info to be found there.

Hit the EE Board and get you some USGI Mags the price difference will pay for itself in the long run. [;)]
I have seen several guys selling USGI 20rd and 30rd Mags from $15.00 to $20.00 each. [:D]

I would agree that Pro-Mag stuff is junk, but USA mags are the absolute WORST junk I've ever seen. With the dirt quality of their products, I'm shocked that some reputible places still carry them.

The USA AR15 mag springs are weak and the feeder lips bend like tissue paper, even on the steel mags. Have you ever tried to call them to cash-in on their lifetime warranty? That's a big joke, since they NEVER respond to the phone (either it's busy or they don't answer) and a half dozen faxes and e-mails that I sent them were never answered. I had some original receipts for some of these that Sportsman's Guide ultimately took back, but the others I simply tossed out. Stay with USGI pre-bans or Thermolds for your mags and you'll be fine.
