I found some 30 round mags with only the following on the buttplate: COLT AR-15, MADE IN USA. Are these pre-ban? Thanks!!!

I can't say from your information, but post ban mags are stamped on the mag body with a date and are supposed to carry the "For LE and military use only" stampings as well. Some makers (Center) left off the LEO stamping and only dated the magazines. Magazines dated after 9/94 are post ban.

BTW, those floor plate stamps don't sound USGI to me. Read the mag FAQ to see what real Colt floor plates should look like.

Those are USA brand mags. Hope you didn't pay much for them! They DO make cool targets though...
