Coming from you, thanks for the advice here.
Nice shooting!
I just got my Gen 2 PA 10 and surprised how accurate it is, slow fire that is.
I like it enough to hand over large sums for large sums of surplus DAG, Malaysian and S.African + Hirtenberger coming.
How did you rapid fire this group ??:
Lots of recoil, nice in its own way, but do you use Special buffer and/or your uncanny shooting skills ?? ??
Thank you sir !

LOL !!! ...Uncanny shooting skills !... I truly think I suck most of the time... I can tell when I mess up a great group every time, I am still learning that I need to master my rifle holding position ( IE ...not push around the rifle with my body, instead I need to master just holding I in the same position and move the bag when changing brands of ammo)
As for rapid fire... I ( personally ) believe a MSR should be tested as it is designed to be used. I get on target , fire, thousand one-thousand 2, fire, thousand one-thousand 2, fire.....
I also subscribe to Molon's ( God , I miss him ) minimum 10rd group, but prefer 20rd groups because that will show you the true accuracy of a specific round, and if your rifle can take the "abuse" without a significant ( 1"+ ) change in the group pattern.
I also do not allow cool down times, and do not clean the rifle during a shooting session... ( If push came to shove ( SHTF ) you aren't going to have the time you'd like to clean your firearm..
As an example.... today I shot from 08:00 - 15:30, in 20 minute ( range rules ) intervals... probably fired 3-400 rds of .308, 35-40 brands, surplus and Factory, ...and at the end of the day, the PSA PA10 GenII ( with its new Criterion Barrel ) still shot 3ea / 9 or 10rd groups with FGMM 168gr measuring ( and after subtracting .308 )......786, .809 and 1.15. Even with the rifle and barrel being filthy.
I am quite happy with the new Criterion barrel. ... and know what ammo I can shoot accurately from it.
( Note edited for clarification )
That is important to know... at least to me.
As for recoil...I run an adjustable SLR gas block on mine.... HUGE difference in recoil, so much so that I can get back on target VERY rapidly. I also use a Tubbs .308 Flatwire and a 9.3oz rifle length conventional ( not solid ) buffer.....I might go back to the standard weight rifle buffer, I really couldn't feel that much of a difference , and there is little reason to have that much mass bouncing around.
If you have ever considered an adjustable gas block on any of your AR's .... the PSA .308 will benefit the most from it.
The SLR adjustable gas block truly, completely, changed the "recoil" and more importantly, how fast I can get back on target. There are other side effects... I no longer feel like the rifle is being punished every time it is fired , so longer part life,..... the brass cases no longer are being ripped from the chamber with excessive gas port pressure, so better brass life... and all that, just from only a few milliseconds longer of locked breach time.
Anyhow... I am rambling... Thanks for the compliment !
And I hope your GenII likes that DAG !!!
