Anyone have any reviews on Independence m855? I take my brother-in-law shooting quite a bit and have been looking to pick up some m855. He called today and found Independence m855 for 25cents a round which seems pretty decent. Looking for reviews before I buy a bunch.

It will go bang. Natchez has Independence M855 and M193 for the same price if that helps

IMHO...Watch for pressure signs. Independence, loaded by IMI, has..in the past had pressure issues...

And frankly, given the Fed. 5 cent per round rebate... I would prefer some XM855.

in the distant past independence was loaded by MagTech in the pistol calibers...but I suspect from people that the Independence is not IMI.......
but Lake City or Federal Anoka

From what I have seen, the Independence XM193 and XM855 are both marked "Made in Israel". The Federal Rebate form says this:

XM193I 5.56 MM 55GR FMJBT BALL M193 IMI 20 0-29465-06391-7

XM855I 5.56 MM 62GR FMJBT BALL M855 IMI 20 6-04544-61912-6

Yes, these are the product codes for the Independence 193 and 855.
