Hope this is an appropriate place to ask. I would like to have a small supply of calibers I don't have guns for. Yes I don't own any hand guns yet. But in this ever changing world we live in (especially California) it makes sense to have some ammo. Nothing stacked deep like my 5.56 fort.

I would like to have maybe 200 rounds each of .45 ACP and 9mm. What brands are considered high quality defense loads? What is the price to beat per round of particular brand? Care to share a supplier? PM me info if you would rather not give out your favorite source lol. I just want a small supply.

Edit

Also interested in a 12 gauge round for defense

I like 124 in 9MM, most around here like 147.I don't know why.
No. 4 buckshot for the shotgun.Just make sure nothing is on the other side of a wall.

All good advice Posted above.

If I was in your situation I'd consider adding a stash of .357 / .38 special.

There are millions of revolvers in those calibers out there. Just something to consider.
