Not being sure any CBC will show up again, I have been looking at IMI Razor 77 gr.. With the recent problems, would this be a reason to not buy it? I can't seem to find anything else in this price range that has close to the same velocity.
With the ATF just passing more regulations on the powder industry, prices will only go up.. maybe not much, but even a dollar a box can add up.

From what I saw in that thread, new rules violate federal law and will be quickly smacked down....

Fiocchi 77 grain is comparable and is my go to match factory ammo, relatively cheap as well.

If 5.56 spec, the other option would be Black Hills, but it is super expensive.
If 223 spec, the other option would be PMC XTAC, it can be had for $0.60/rd, which is the same price as CBC/Magtech.

Like you, I am still waiting on the CBC/Magtech... best factory 5.56 spec 77gr OTM ammo I've tried.

the PMC X-Tac match 77gr OTM seems like a pretty good load, but it's only .223 spec.

I have had outstanding accuracy with Creedmoor 77gr SMK... I have checked its velocity.... but 20rds will darn near group under the front half of my thumb at 100yds.

Price is around 35 bucks per fifty.

For that matter, my rifles like it better then Black Hills.

I've also tried some Creedmoor 77gr 223, 75gr 223, and 75gr 5.56, since your results were surprisingly excellent.
However, my SR15 LPR and SR15 Mod1 won't group better than 1.5MOA with either 223, but the Creedmoor 75gr 5.56 seems to be as accurate as CBC 77gr and BH 77gr.

OP, Definitely try a few options before committing to buy bulk.

As someone who's posted in that thread, I'll still use it. Just remember it's loaded HOT. Use in appropriate firearms only, and try not to 'cool' the ammo before use.

The IMI is good stuff. With that being said your best bet is to start reloading.

Using all new materials you can reload an mk262 clone for less than the CBC stuff, that's straight from midway without factoring in reusing brass.

This is what my buddy uses in his trainer for his precision rifle matches and it's one ragged hole. I'll see if I can't grab some pictures Monday when I go shooting with him.

I am trying to stay within the same velocity as CBC and IMI Razor.. but I may have to compromise. I have a lot of 55 and 62 gr ammo, but need to horde stock up on some 77 gr.
