Between the Barnes Vor-TX TSX-FB 55gr and Remington Premier Accutip 55gr which one is the best HD/SD?

Any experience on these two rounds?

The Accutip is designed as a varmint /small game (under 20kg) bullet.

As for the Barnes TSX-FB bullet, ARFcom has gel test results. I'm including the link.

I have now reviewed the PDF and noticed that the bullet used is called TAC-X Flat Base. Is this the same as Vor TX TSX Flat Base?

Yes, it is the same TSX bullet.

Anyone know if the Barnes 223 55gr VOR-TX has case/primer sealing?

...and if not, is it recommended to seal the ammunition with nail polish? Read that from another site where reloaders had great experience with it.

there have been a number of experiments online with soaking cases in water, oil, and other stuff.  For general use and hunting, there is no need to seal your cases.  If you plan on doing some scuba assaults somewhere and diving down several atmospsheres, then it would be a good idea to seal them up.  Someone also mentioned that the vibration from riding around in a tracked vehicle cans cause problems and the sealant helps things stay in place but I have no idea.

If it makes you feel better, you can seal your ammo.  I would buy an actual sealant made for the job.  They sell one at Midway.
Midway Sealant

I tried it.  I was not shooting red line loads so I do not not know if it effects pressure at all.  I tried it on some 115gr 9mm plated bullets with 4.2 grains of Tightgroup.  I did not notice any problems with sealer around the primer and bullet/case mouth.  It does give off a funny smell after being fired though.  It will also dry out in the bottle.  If you are gonna buy some, seal a whole lot or your investment will evaporate.

NATO stuff is sealed. I am thinking of the MK262 (retail version Black Hills 77gr OTM) specifically. Maybe you can find something that suits you in a NATO version.

I currently use Federal American Eagle 55gr. It has some red sealant in the primer area.

The reason I wanted to seal the Barnes ammunition is because these kind of ammo is very hard to come by where I live. So whenever I got the chance I want to buy larger amount. In this context I wanted to seal the Barnes ammo (if not sealed al ready) for storage.

You would probably be better served with a good, airtight container and dessicant for storage.  Less handling of ammo or tedious work and a convenient range box.

This

I use a 50cal ammo can with a good seal and throw in a dessicant pack or two and label it with contents and date. I close it and forget it until i empty the current open can.

Sounds like an easier idea

If you are planning on shooting your ammo in the next 20 years and its stored inside in the AC, you can leave it on a book shelf.  I still have civie ammo thats 50 years old that shoots fine.  I have reloaded with primers that were 15+ and they gave me fewer problems than ones currently.  I would not want to carry 50 year old ammo in my CCW but for the range its no big deal.

Do whatever puts your mind at ease.  Ammo can + desiccant.  Sealer.  Sealed then into the ammo can with desiccant.
