This stuff is just poop. I would hold steel to a higher standard this this stuff. Tons of FTF/ FTE. I have never had any problems with any of my ARs tell I ran this stuff. Anyone else use ether of this stuff? http://<a href=http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8544/8856926822_7beaea44d7.jpg I have some gonna try it next wknd. We shall see... |
| Winchester white box is well known to be junk. I bought a half-case of Q3131 many years ago - still have some. I never had feed issues, but it is the most inaccurate ammo I've ever tried, and dirty too. Absolute crap - I'll never buy it again. WalMart has it right now for $12.37/box, incidentally. |

The old Q3131A and USAR1VP were both made in Israel and are excellent. I miss the USAR1VP 40 round value packs at Wal-Mart for $7.73. |

This .... I have had decent luck with USA / Winc. ammo, granted it was all USA Q3131 or Q3131A, and if this is true about all the current batches, I will feel very let down .....has the OP notified Winchester with his concerns ? |

Here are the lot numbers. I also have not Contacted Winchester. Even if I did they would not do anything for me. Its not like it blew up my gun. Thank god though.

| I thought this was a joke at first... All of the Win USA 5.56 i've shot has been top notch although I haven't shot any of it manufactured recently. If this is true I'm going to be disappointed in Winchester; a huge company such as that shouldn't have widespread QC problems even in a crisis. |

I couldn't even make it through a box and like the OP, I had several FTE's. Everything else I fired that day functioned fine.....PMC, PPU, WPA. I thought I was crazy. Really didn't expect that based on past experiences with Winchester ammo. well at least I am not the only one. |

I bought 3 boxes of 9mm of the white boxes at walmart, the casings and primer were all different colors, and the bullets were set at different depths... I never shot it, emailed Winchester about it, never heard from them... So no more business from me... Let us know how they work for you... |

The winchester made in Korea that i had is total junk, i've said it before, wolf is twice as good as that shit. Which is odd, because I find PMC to be fairly decent... ![]() Never had a problem with PMC......hope it's not a sign of things to come I hope it's not a sign of things to come either...... I' m either a Federal or PMC user. I'll never use either Tula or Winchester.......... |
| The new Winchester USA sold at Wally World, in the new red, white and blue boxes is SHIT. Was giving me 5MOA+ in a rifle that shoots XM193 at under 2MOA. Same for the PPU I bought there a few months ago. I just hope I have enough legacy ammo from before the crazyness to last until the ammo companies get all the profit taking out of their system and produce decent ammo again. Likley a year from now... |

Winchester had a recall on 62gr 5.56 M855 ammo a few months ago, but I don’t remember hearing anything about 55gr 5.56 White box. Here is what I found…

I’ve probably put about 2,000 + rounds of PMC thru the pipe this past year without a hiccup. |
| I've had issues with Winchester as well, but all the bad Winchester I've bought has come from Walmart. Never gotten any bad Winchester from my LGS. A co-worker with a Taurus Judge was telling me that there's an issue with Federal .410 rounds from Walmart not ejecting properly. Apparantly it's a common issue that comes up in the forums and it's only the Walmart Federal ammo that's doing it. I kknow Walmart is known for negotiating the lowest 'at-cost' prices, are ammo manufacturers selling sub-standard overseas production to Walmart? I don't seem to have these issues purchasing Winchester ammo from other 'big box' chains... |
