Its frangible training ammo. Its designed for shoothouses and steel up close, not for punching paper at any ranges or defense.
Its low powered (by design) and you may have function issues, it also breaks up at relatively close ranges. I've seen good size peppering at 20-30 ft. You shouldn't shoot through a can either as it trashes the inside and causes baffle and end strikes. You also need to clean your weapon after using it because the crap can break and build uo. Its good for its purpose, but its not "stock up for SHTF " ammo like wolf or m193. If you do a lot of training I'd buy it, but otherwise use the cash for something else. |

Interesting stuff..... http://www.ruag-usa.com/products/rifle/rws-copper-matrix-ntf/ ... not that I'd pay a buck per round for training v. XMwhatever.
Maybe this will help you decide... Good video on the stuff.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mXu8Xdm3s70 |

Good video on the stuff.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mXu8Xdm3s70 It is more specialized ammo. If you want to do shoot houses in a lot of places or shoot steel at close ranges, you need frangible. A local academy has a "frangible only" policy for their indoor range in order to keep from damaging and wearing out the range. If you don't need to do that kind of training, don't buy frangible. If you do need to do that sort of training you know you need it. |
