[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Headstamp Question

What is Federal XM 193 headstamp,
and
what is Federal 223 headstamp ?

As the ? indicates, I've got some of both and not too sure which is which.

Your going to have to be more specific.
XM193 should be LC brass and have that headstamp. I assume commercial .223 Federal says F C and .223 on it.
As a general headstam rule commercial indicates caliber on the headstamp.

Federal American Eagle has been known to have LC headstamps on their rounds

I thought I had some Fed 223 but I just went though and the only 223 I have is PMC So here are two different Fed 5.56 LC Head stamps

PS I would think that the aliening would be the easiest way to distinguish the two no?
