I have 75 grain TAP FPD for HD. If I had to take a head shot on a BG, would this round penetrate the skull? I am wondering if it would just frag upon Impact, and not penetrate deeply enough. Thanks.

Yes, it will penetrate.

While your idea of shooting a bad guy in the head is great, I suspect that the reality of a life-and-death scenario will make accomplishing that task a little more difficult than shooting paper targets at the range.
