So i opened a few of my ammo cans and on my federal m855 I can see the canilure and some I can not. Has anyone had a problem with the rounds being seated too far back? there is alot of them in there like that...

The cannelure is not in the same exact place on the projectiles.

So more than likely they are seated correctly, just looks wrong.

I thought it had to be right next to the very top of the case?

Have you checked the OverAll Length of the rounds with and without the cannelure showing?
