I found some ammo in various calibers that have been in a storage shed for about 25 years, I was like ....Buried Treasure!!!!! This has been stored in a shed, in the hot and cold of Arkansas weather. Some just in boxes, some in water tight containers. Only a couple hundred rounds in all... some kinda green in places so prolly won't shoot that.
I know some say heat is a killer of ammo, even in a few years it can hurt it. There's about 40 rounds of 5.56 and 223. Some LC, some 223 SP reloads, and some green tip that I didn't look at to close.
I'm going to use it this weekend to kill some pesky soda cans that have been breeding.
So.... after 25 years in the heat of a (mostly) closed metal storage shed, how do you think this will shoot? I personally think it will go off, just might be a little weak, but for free,, it's not a problem.

Who did the reloading on the SP's?  If unknown, I would probably pull the bullets, dump the powder amd pop the primers and then reload.

If the rest is factory, I would shoot them, If they are reloads too, see above.

You should see the nasty ass ammo we got when we depolyed. We spent almost a week cleaning that shit. The heat is fine it didn't damage it at all. Do NOT shoot the reloads if you didnt load them yourself!

I had no problem firing Rem UMC from 1918 that was corroded almost beyond recognition. You should be good.
