Yes, it is good enough for proof that your rig and ammo combination would not hold you back on a short range course.
The x-ring and 10 ring of an SR-1 target are a good barometer for this topic. In other words, if your rig was within x-ring, you are golden. If your rig isn't well within the x-ring for a 10 round group from a rest, but still has margin against the 10 ring, you are at least still in the game. You can shoot the SR-1 target or just know that the x-ring diameter is 1.35" and the 10 ring is 3.35" The MR-31 target represents the slow fire 600 yard target scaled down for 100 yards. You would shoot this target prone with a sling for example. This x-ring is 0.75" and the 10 ring is 1.75" So, if your prone sling shooting can be as good as your rest shooting, you should still be able to shoot clean based on your photos. At least you wouldn't be able to blame the rig or ammo...... |
