[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone use MFS?

Like it says. I have seen it on line,but know very little other than it"s Hungarian. I have seen the .38 special loads,and was poorly impressed. It would split cases in many differnt revolvers. It could be small diameter cases,and the 223 is fine,or it's all crap. I don't know.

I ran 400 rounds through a BCM 14.5" factory upper on one of my full auto lowers with no problems. Pricier at retail than I like, especially for nickel or zinc plated steel that it is, but I ran out and that was what the closest store with ammo had at the time.

BCM is a CHF 1:7 with chrome bore and chamber.

I shot up a case of MFS .45acp HP while vetting a 1911 for carry with HP rounds. No problems.

I also have a case of "Fiocchi USA" .45acp 230gr. FMJ that is manufactured by MFS. It also runs fine with no issues after several hundred rounds.

I've run 800 rounds of 62gr SP MFS through my AR so far without issues. Had 1 or 2 split case necks, but that is not uncommon for steel cased cheapo stuff. It has been reasonably accurate at the short ranges I've used it at, but not impressive.

It's a little on the dirty side, and not all that accurate (I'm talking 150FPS variation between rounds) but it runs flawlessly in my AR.

Dirty, but my PPK in 380 likes it. So, I buy it. My PPK is kind of picky too. It likes MFS, S&B Fed Hydra Shock (but NOT American Eagle).
