| I'm getting run around by my local UPS hub. Anyone have a straight story on shipping to a private party for small arms ammo ? Do they ship private party to private party UPS ground ? How do you mark the box, etc. Thanx. This is crazy ! |

Regarding how knowledgable your UPS customer service center counter personnel are you may want to have the UPS HazMat center number on you: "Take package to a UPS Customer Center only - NOT at Drop-Off Box, The UPS Store, Mail Boxes etc., Sonic. Might be a good idea to have the UPS Hazardous Material Support Center number with you –– 800-554-9964. Varied success with UPS pick-up at your location" |

I've had no problems when taking ammo to the customer counter at the UPS terminal.
I once tried to send a box of ammo back to Black Hills using Fedex. The Fedex counter people acted like I was trying to ship anthrax and put me on the phone with some ninny who kept demanding my UN number and various other numbers, none of which I have.They accordingly refused my shipment. They made it clear that they didn't want my business and intended to punish me for asking. I drove over to the UPS customer counter which happily accepted my parcel. |
