Not sure if this has been posted already but I forgot to post it earlier in the week. Local LC plant in Independence MO had some kind of explosion that injured 6 employees. Link tells more about it.

There's a deafening silence in the news about this.  It happened on Tuesday (Mar 1), and there doesn't seem to be any more information than the local news report in the link above and a few others that quote that report.  Nothing about what kind of explosion, whether production was impacted, or anything else.

The one guy who was injured and stayed in the hospital is described as a "contractor."  ATK says the explosion was in a construction area, so maybe Mr. Contractor was welding and did something stupid?  I'd have to think that if there was anything substantive at the plant involved in an explosion, there would be a lot more than 6 hurt with only one not being released after treatment.  Remember the ammo plant explosion in Eastern Europe last fall?  Lots of injuries and I think some fatalities, and the place had to shut down for a long time.

Usual silence from the military. As you said, with only 6 individuals being injured, hopefully this was just a small accident. Only reason I heard about it is because the plant is only about 50 miles down the road and it was on the local evening news.
