I have never fired any Wolfs or Brown bear or any steel cased ammo through my ARs . But I have been thinking about it since the bulk prices don't seem to bad . I have read what posting I could find here discussing the pros and cons and the opinions seem to be about equal . So before I ordered a bunch I thought I would simply pick up a box of each to try . Went to GM today $7.89 for Wolfs-$9.98 for the Brown Bear , 20 round boxes ..... |

Gander Mountain's prices are not competetive at all anymore.
They will price match. So, if someone else has a sale, price match to them and let someone else also get the extra ammo at the sale location. Works even better if you have a gander coupon and/or credit card. |

Don't buy anything there. Their prices are ridiculously high, and I've never met an employee there that knows anything about what they are doing. I ever had an employee once tell me they were against hunting. +1. Granted it may end up costing the same after shipping from AIM or another vendor, but these stores are a joke. |

order a few boxes of each type you're interested in and try them before committing to big purchase. By the time you pay S&H for just a few boxes, you might as well buy them locally. I agree plus the Gander by me is selling XM193 for $7.50 a box which is cheaper then anywhere I have found online due to S&H charges. |
