Does anyone know if Wolf .223 Military Classic will damage AR500 steel? Me an 2 friends will be shooting in a match next week and one of them wants to use Wolf. The range says to make sure NOT to use AP ammo. I have never herd of Wolf being AP. I pulled 2 random bullets from my stash. 1 was copper jacket and led core not magnetic at all, but the other had a led core, but the jacket was magnetic. Both looked identical.

Wolf Classic is FMJ. What you have to look at here is if it has a Steel Core, which it doesn't. It should be ok to use. Some military rounds have steel cores such as the SS109 and M855 they are defined as light armor piercing.

Thanks. The core is not steel, it was the magnetic jacket that I was talking about. I thought they were just copper, but being magnetic is what made me post this.
