Hi Guys,

I have very limited space, but about a lot of ammo and I was wondering how many cardboard boxes of PRVI and Federal can I stack on top of each other without damaging the rounds inside? Is 4 thousand round cases stacked on top of each other ok?

Thanks,
Matt

Why not get some ammo cans and stack those instead?

Whats a good price for ammo cans? I see them online at what I think are good prices, but then when I include shipping they are outrageous. I haven't seen any locally.

Best bet is to find em locally. Any gun shows around your area?

You should be fine stacking 4-1000 round boxes on top of each other. How do you think the makers store/ship it.

They come 8 or 10  high on pallets.  They could easily be stacked higher if it weren't for the total weight and size of the completed pallet.   130 ish cases on a pallet is already weighing around 3400 pounds, and is about 4 feet tall.  Anymore and it would be awkward to maneuver, especially when using a hand operated pallet jack.  It sucks as it is to push and pull one up the slightest incline!

If you have enough ammo where you could stack it and damage it by doing so.....

Then there is a special place reserved for you in the hall of fame, sir. You will NOT be free of envious clingers and hangers-on!

We stack  230 gr. 45ACP 4 layers high (1000 round cases) at work, and it gets hauled off with a fork truck (17 cases per layer).

You can safely stack 87 boxes of ammo without damaging it
