went to the range last week in Alexandria,La to requal.time to leave the next morning,we went by to pick up our guns and stuff.as the door opened i found about 160,000 rounds of winchester 223 in 1000 round bulk boxes.too bad the range guy never let us outta his sight.just a little side note in the ammo situation.

Just a guess, but I'd say it was a .mil or police supply, which isn't really a surprise, they haven't had the supply issues the civi's have. Some police units may have had some issues, but the .mil has never had any problems. Unless it is a private stash.

Yep. I and several officers from my county went to a qual at the LPSO range in Walker, LA a couple of years ago. They opened the door to their armory and one entire wall was stacked floor to ceiling with Winchester 5.56 (M193 or Q3131, don't remember which).

It brings a tear of joy every time I think about that trip.

They also have one helluva range and obstacle course!
