So I probably should know this by now, but I'm looking at buying some ammo locally. Since I started shooting, I've been sticking to the Wolf stuff, as it's cheap and I've never had a problem running it through my Bushy.

Found a guy selling ammo locally that seems to be much better stuff (Lake City M193). He has a few different types for sale, such as teh M193, XM193,  (is there a difference between the two?) M855, and all that good stuff. But, what I haven't been able to figure out is what all those designations mean? Can someone either explain them to me, or give me a link?

Also, is the M193 5.56 or is it .223? Ad says 5.56 but I'd just like to make sure.
