Well, well, well...  I found 1000 rds of IMI 5.56 hiding in one of my old ammo cans.

Anybody else still have any left?  I don't think IMI is imported any more.

I shot some up a year ago for testing.  Hard to tell how long that stuff takes to make it through the supply chain.

The BIG question with the new supplies that are in transit is "how much $"? That remains to be seen shortly.

I remember holding off another order of 1200 when the price was $129 shipped.  That seemed too much.

I still have like 480rds of IMI M855 "green tip" sealed in plastic packs in my safe. I think it's like 1997 headstamp. Got it from Sportsman's Guide years ago. Should be good for years to come. It's my "rainy day" stash (supplemented by other 5.56 of course).

The guy from widners posted what the prices would be. Like $359 per k, or at least close to that is what he said it would be.

I'm laughing at the chump that is trying to sell a case on GB. He's had it upto $900 three times but set his reserve higher. In 2-3 weeks GB will be full of IMI for ~ $600/case.

He'll be kicking himself for being greedy

I'd bet that would be for a 1K case of the M193 stuff. If the M855 IMI goes for that price it will be gone in a NY minute. If it's dedicated IMI ammo and not in the WIN packs (Q3131A), I'd be curious to see what the new packaging looks like.

The M855 wasn't much more, like $379 per k. Maybe it was a bit more. Its around here some where. Of course its packed in 1200rd cases, but that's what the broken down price worked out to be. I guess it was a little higher, it was more then the prvi they had, but not much more.

The last IMI 855 I bought from Wideners was $229/1200 in the brown boxes in December 2003.   Still have much of that left.

I have 1200 rds of IMI M855 62gr and 1200rds of M193 55gr.  Still packed in brown 30rd boxes and still packed in the plastic wrap.  I could only find it in cases of 1200.  I have had it for several years and use it as my "Use only in case of war or Zombie attack" ammo.

Sorry. 2003 - 2004 seemed to be the golden age of ammo. All that cheap 5.56 and 7.62X51 ammo from allied countries. I paid $69 for 1000 rounds of Wolf 7,62X39

I still have about 450 rounds of Winchester Q3131a, the good stuff.
It is also my SHTF reserve.
