| So I am heading by Prescott tomorrow to pick up my order. I ordered this. How did I do? I have about 800 rounds left of my good stuff. I want to keep it on hand and shoot other stuff for training and such. I saw this and jumped on it. They are also selling this brass US stuff for about $100 more. For that price I figure its good savings. So what does the hive mind think? |

I just ordered this through the internet, mine was $25 more because of shipping. I have heard reports of some of the casings cracking and getting stuck in the barrel or rounds not exiting the rifle correctly, but people told me this happens 1 out of 100 rounds, if you are unlucky. I have heard that this is cleaner and has more of a kick then wolf. For being $80 cheaper then the cheapest availble 1K of .223 ill put up with anything! As long as it shoots.
Ill most likely be waiting 2 weeks so please tell me how this stuff is, im eager to try it, especially since i just bought my VERY first AR-15 and i have to wait until this stuff comes before i can fire it for the first time. |
| Ive had pretty good luck with silver bear in most of my ar's. I did have ine case stuck in the chamber because the extractor ripped the rim off of it. I also has been shooting my rifle suppressed for close to 1000 rounds so it was dirty as all hell so take that for what its worth. IMHO i love silver bear but YMMV. |
| Silver Bear IS Barnual. I like it enough to keep 800 for future plinking use. As I can still buy Brown Bear (Academy Monarch) I shoot that. Cheapest 223 around. And its local. And nearly always in stock when I drop by. I don't see any difference between Silver (plated) or Brown (laquer). I have not had any problems shooting Barnual, just not as hot or accurate as my preferred drug of choice- Black Hills. WJ |
